This policy explains what personal information Stor-Mor Portable Buildings, LLC (“Stor-Mor”, “we”, “us”) collects through this plan shop, why we collect it, and who we share it with. It covers this site only.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

• Account details — your email address and a password. Passwords are hashed by our authentication provider; we never see or store them in readable form.
• Order information — the building order or serial number you enter, the products you select, and the building model, size, and state associated with that order.
• Mailing address — when your order includes a wet-stamped plan or hardware that has to be physically shipped.
• Billing address — collected by our payment processor at checkout and used to calculate sales tax.
• Messages — anything you write to us in a quote request, a message on a quote, or a support request.

Information we look up

When you enter a Stor-Mor order or serial number, we query Stor-Mor’s building order records to confirm the building and retrieve its model, size, and delivery state. This lets us show you the plans that match your building.

Information collected automatically

• Cookies — we use a session cookie to keep you signed in and a cart cookie to remember what you have selected. These are necessary for the site to function; we do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
• Email delivery data — our email provider reports whether a message we sent was delivered, bounced, or opened. We record this so staff can tell a genuine delivery failure from an email that simply has not been read yet.
• Server logs — our hosting provider records standard request data, including IP address, for security and troubleshooting.

Payment information

Card payments are processed by Stripe on Stripe’s own hosted checkout page. Your full card number never reaches our servers and is not stored by us. We retain only what we need for order records: the amount, the currency, the tax charged, and Stripe’s reference for the payment.

2. How we use your information

• To identify your building and show you the right plans.
• To take payment, calculate and remit sales tax, and issue receipts.
• To produce, deliver, and mail your plans, and to assign engineering work internally.
• To send transactional email about your order — receipts, quotes, delivery notices, and replies to your messages.
• To provide support and respond to your enquiries.
• To keep records we are required to keep, including for tax and accounting purposes, and to detect and prevent fraud and abuse.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

3. Who we share it with

We share personal information only with service providers who need it to operate the shop, and only for that purpose:

• Stripe — payment processing and sales-tax calculation.
• Postmark — delivery of transactional email.
• Supabase — database, file storage, and authentication.
• Vercel — application hosting.
• Stor-Mor — building order records used to verify your order number, and the engineering staff who prepare and seal your plans.

We may also disclose information where we are legally required to, or to establish or defend legal claims. If our business is sold or reorganized, customer records may transfer as part of that transaction.

4. How long we keep it

We keep order records, including the drawings prepared for you, for as long as we need them to support the building and to satisfy our tax, accounting, and professional-practice obligations. Account information is kept while your account is open. Where information is no longer needed for any of those purposes, we delete it or remove its connection to you.

5. Security

Traffic to this site is encrypted in transit. Access to customer data is limited to Stor-Mor staff who need it for their role, and staff accounts are individually issued. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

6. Your choices and rights

• Access and correction — you can see your orders at any time in your order portal, and you can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you or ask us to correct it.
• Deletion — you can ask us to delete your account and personal information. We may need to retain order and tax records where the law requires it.
• Email preferences — you can change which notifications you receive in your account settings. We will still send essential messages about an active order.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights — including the right to know what personal information we collect and to request its deletion, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity first.

7. Children

This shop is intended for adults purchasing building plans. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected in the “last updated” date above.
